Job Title: Dual-Rate Security Supervisor

Casino Ajax is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dual-Rate Security Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of security officers in a shift work environment, fostering a safe and efficient work environment, while maintaining an open-door policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of security officers and ensure they are equipped to handle various situations
  • Monitor and report internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities
  • Prepare written and electronic statements as required
  • Escort guests and team members as needed
  • Enforce restricted access by unauthorized persons
  • Observe transactions, slot drops, chip fills, and transferring items to Lost & Found
  • Perform identification checks on guests who appear under 30
  • Refer disputes to the Supervisor, Security
  • Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property as assigned
  • Perform crowd control as directed
  • Attend to first aid incidents
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
  • Assist Supervisor, Security with enrolling guests in the Self-Exclusion program
  • Investigate, report, and document all irregular, unusual, suspicious, or illegal activities prior to the end of shift
  • Monitor guest self-exclusion program as required
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary diploma in Law and Security or related field
  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computer application packages
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certificate, along with Non-Violent Intervention Technique Certificate
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
  • Must successfully complete the EMR course
  • Bilingualism considered an asset
  • Smart Serve certification
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication

Candidates must be ready and willing to work at both sites, work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
