Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Subway. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Service Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all food safety and quality standards are met.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to optimize inventory management.
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely and efficient service.
    • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak periods.
    • Hire and train food service staff to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on sales, inventory, and customer feedback.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates to optimize food costs and minimize waste.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management decisions.
    Requirements
    • 1 to 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
