Key Responsibilities- Food Service Management
- Establish and implement efficient food preparation and service methods to meet work schedules and quality standards.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and inventory management.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Restaurant Operations
- Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, repairs, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth and improvement.
- Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage during peak periods.
- Address customer complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure their success and growth.
- Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, promoting cultural competency and awareness.
- Quality Control
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor and maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and regulations.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service management role.
- Skills
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Client-focused and team-oriented, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and loyalty.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Standing for extended periods is required, and attention to detail is essential.
Security and SafetyThe position requires a criminal record check and adherence to health and safety protocols and regulations.
