Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at WORLD FOOD NETWORK INC. as a Restaurant Supervisor - Food Service Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Service Management
    • Establish and implement efficient food preparation and service methods to meet work schedules and quality standards.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and inventory management.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Restaurant Operations
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, repairs, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth and improvement.
    • Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage during peak periods.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure their success and growth.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, promoting cultural competency and awareness.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Monitor and maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service management role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
    • Client-focused and team-oriented, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Standing for extended periods is required, and attention to detail is essential.
