Job Summary:

The Director of Sales and Business Development will provide strategic leadership and direction for the advancement of sales and business development for the Brandt Group of Companies. This position will be accountable for the growth in sales volume, margins, and performance within the assigned area of responsibility, maintaining all branches' engagement in sales and support of products, while aligning these objectives with the company's overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive Sales Growth: Achieve sales growth and profitability in all areas of the market.
  2. Meet Sales Goals: Achieve sales goals and market share targets as agreed for the long-term success of the business.
  3. Provide Market Insights: Provide feedback and input to the company and suppliers into future opportunities and competitive pressures in the market.
  4. Develop Sales Strategies: Develop and execute effective sales and marketing programs and advertising initiatives to drive sales growth.
  5. Lead Sales Team: Provide a focused approach to sales and aid in the recruitment, development, and retention of sales team members.
  6. Stay Up-to-Date: Keep current on all new product advancements and build sales strategies to increase sales.
  7. Support Branch Sales Managers: Provide assistance and guidance to branch sales managers to support and improve sales techniques, proposals, training, demonstrations, and customer events.
  8. Collaborate with Suppliers: Work with suppliers on current product issues, new product opportunities, and competitive pricing pressures.
  9. Travel and Representation: Travel to branches to develop and foster multi-level selling processes with end users and understand unique market challenges.
  10. Industry Events: Attend and champion involvement with industry-specific events.
  11. International Travel: Must be able to travel internationally and hold a valid passport.
  12. Product Management: Manage and direct corporate product managers to enhance customer acceptance and improve customer experience during demonstration and delivery/ownership of assigned product groups.
  13. Inventory Management: Work with corporate inventory manager to ensure proper specification and appropriate inventory is available to anticipate and satisfy sales demands.
