About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Attendant to join our team at Seasons Retirement Communities. As a Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their safety, well-being, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered care services to residents, ensuring professionalism, dignity, and compassion with each interaction.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively, with training provided by our team.
  • Collaborate with the care team to follow infection control measures, enhancing the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Assist with housekeeping tasks and laundry as assigned, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our residents.
  • Respond to medical, physical, and emotional needs, working closely with our Health and Wellness Manager.

Requirements:

  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Enrolled in the Alberta Health Care Aide (HCA) Directory (applicable to Alberta applicants only).
  • Provide compassion, empathy, and understanding of our residents' needs.
  • Communicate effectively, following written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong ability to organize and prioritize workload throughout scheduled shifts.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment is considered an asset (blood pressure machine, oximeter, glucometer) and/or the ability to learn these skills with training.
