Resident Care Supervisor

Job Summary:
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring that resident care exceeds standards and expectations. As a key member of the leadership team, you will support the home's Infection Prevention and Control program, as well as all aspects of resident admissions, including liaising with residents and family members pending admission, and throughout the admission process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the RAI MDS processes in accordance with MOHLTC regulations, ensuring accuracy of data and taking corrective action as necessary.
- Provide leadership to the staff teams, ensuring the implementation of best practice approaches to resident care.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and adult education programs.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in the home's on-call leader rotation and demonstrate flexibility to work or support all three shifts.
Requirements:
- Registered Practical Nurse and registered in good standing with the College of Nurses Ontario.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Long-Term Care or Acute Care sector.
- Experience in quality improvement and adult education is beneficial.
- Knowledge of epidemiological principles, statistics, and microbiology, and the ability to integrate this knowledge into clinical practice.
- Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work or support all three shifts.
- Member of National Infection Control Association (IPAC Canada) is beneficial.
