Position Overview:
The Senior Supply Chain Executive will play a crucial role in steering the strategic direction of the supply chain operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective coordination of procurement, production, inventory control, and distribution processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Negotiate and oversee contracts with suppliers and logistics partners to secure advantageous terms and ensure a reliable flow of materials and services.
- Integrate supply chain functions with other departments, including sales, marketing, finance, and production, to align goals and improve overall operational effectiveness.
- Utilize advanced analytics and supply chain management technologies to predict demand, manage inventory, and identify areas for process enhancement.
- Establish and uphold sustainable sourcing practices, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and corporate social responsibility standards.
- Coordinate risk management initiatives within the supply chain, including the formulation of contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain team, fostering innovation, professional growth, and collaboration to meet strategic objectives.
- Represent the organization at industry events and professional associations to stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in supply chain management.
- Demonstrate expertise in strategic sourcing, global logistics, supply chain risk management, and contract negotiations.
- Translate business strategies into actionable operational plans, considering organizational priorities.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing distribution and supply chain processes to optimize customer service, cost efficiency, and cash flow.
- Manage departmental budgets related to supply chain operations.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing supply chain team.
- Oversee competitive procurement processes effectively.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, with additional training in Procurement & Supply Chain; an MBA is preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in operations and supply chain management.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior strategic role with a proven track record of building and leading successful teams.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Expertise in global supply chain management and technology integration.
- A strong understanding of logistics, procurement, and inventory management is required.
- Proficiency in data analysis is a valuable asset.
