Executive Director of Supply Chain Operations

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Supply Chain to lead our client's supply chain operations. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, cost, and quality across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, cost, and quality across the organization.
- Procurement and Sourcing: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers to ensure favorable terms and reliable supply of materials and services.
- Inventory Management: Implement advanced analytics and supply chain management tools to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Sustainability and Ethics: Develop and maintain sustainable and ethical sourcing practices, ensuring compliance with legal standards and corporate social responsibility commitments.
- Risk Management: Coordinate risk management efforts across the supply chain, including the development of contingency plans to mitigate the impact of disruptions, shortages, or other unforeseen challenges.
- Team Leadership: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain team, encouraging innovation, professional development, and collaboration to achieve strategic goals.
- Industry Representation: Represent the company in industry associations, conferences, and professional groups to stay informed of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in supply chain management.
- Education: Post-secondary degree in a related field and additional formal training in Procurement & Supply Chain; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years operations/supply chain experience, 5+ years of business experience at senior strategic level, and proven ability to build and motivate a top-performing team.
- Skills: Global supply chain management, technology integration and implementation experience, deep understanding of logistics, procurement, and inventory management, and extensive data analysis expertise.
