Rooms Operations Manager

As a Rooms Operations Manager at Marriott International, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's rooms area departments. This includes managing staff, improving guest and employee satisfaction, and maximizing financial performance.
Key Responsibilities- Leading Room Operations Team
- Translate departmental goals into team objectives and track progress.
- Create a positive work environment that fosters motivation, empowerment, and teamwork.
- Develop strategies to address areas of improvement and capitalize on strengths.
- Verify team capabilities to meet expectations.
- Lead by example, demonstrating self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Managing Property Rooms Operations Function(s)
- Assist in managing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments.
- Implement property-specific second effort and recovery plans.
- Publish guest satisfaction results in a timely manner.
- Take proactive approaches when dealing with employee concerns.
- Extend professionalism and courtesy to employees at all times.
- Managing and Monitoring Activities that Affect the Guest Experience
- Understand the brand's service culture.
- Provide excellent customer service by being approachable and responsive to guests.
- Strive to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction.
- Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns.
- Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times.
- Managing Profitability
- Assist in performing annual quality audits with the General Manager and Regional Director.
- Verify the existence of a viable key control program.
- Review financial statements and performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
- Strive to maximize the financial performance of the department.
- Conducting Human Resources Activities
- Interview and assist in making hiring decisions.
- Receive hiring recommendations from team supervisors.
- Verify thorough and timely orientations for new team members.
- Solicit employee feedback and review employee satisfaction results.
- Verify fair and consistent administration of property policies.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related field. Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, with 2 years of experience in the same field, is also acceptable.
The salary range for this position is $53,000 to $67,000 annually.
