Role Overview
As a key member of the Marketing Team, the Practice Improvement Manager is instrumental in developing, implementing, and overseeing practice enhancement initiatives across Canada.
What is Practice Development Excellence at AbbVie?
This role focuses on enhancing the support provided to medical aesthetic practices throughout their aesthetic and commercial journeys. This includes optimizing internal strategies (considering salesforce capabilities and stakeholder alignment) and providing direct external support to our clients (developing impactful materials and services, coordinating with our international team, and executing an omnichannel strategy).
The Practice Improvement Manager will collaborate closely with Canadian cross-functional teams, industry experts, and opinion leaders to create and localize engaging, effective, and innovative content. This position requires a blend of strategic insight and project management skills to ensure that all practice development content reaches the appropriate target audience through the right channels at the right time, while aligning with broader brand and organizational strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate to develop and execute a compelling content strategy that aligns with customer needs and overall organizational objectives.
- Ensure the content strategy remains relevant and competitive in Canada, adapting or creating new content as necessary for local aesthetic practices.
- Work with internal stakeholders to map content for various customer segments and journeys.
- Utilize data-driven insights to continuously refine and enhance the content strategy.
Lead the comprehensive process for practice development solutions strategy from needs assessment, design, approval, to delivery and execution in partnership with field teams.
- Identify and collaborate with industry experts and opinion leaders to co-create and validate programs and strategies.
- Determine the most effective channels for content delivery (in-person, digital, virtual, blended) to ensure an integrated customer experience in Canada.
- Communicate plans to internal stakeholders and provide training and guidelines for execution.
- Conduct regular evaluations of existing programs to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Deliver content within budget and on schedule.
- Track key performance indicators of implemented programs and strategies.
Champion and facilitate the implementation of programs across functions within Canada.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales enablement, training, medical education, legal, compliance, and business technology to ensure alignment with organizational frameworks.
- Support business consultants in KAM programs and clinic service delivery.
- Participate in the rollout of regional and virtual educational programs in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
- Regularly communicate progress and outcomes of content programs to stakeholders.
Manage the practice development solutions website.
- Develop strategies and adapt or create content for the website, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for medical aesthetic practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate new content and features that enhance user experience.
- Monitor website analytics to assess user engagement and identify improvement areas.
- Provide support and training to internal stakeholders on effectively utilizing and promoting the website.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the medical aesthetics business and practice management to lead and develop customer-centric content.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive projects.
- Ability to partner with and influence subject matter experts and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, or other customer-facing roles.
- Demonstrated experience in managing small to medium-sized enterprises in business development and management.
- Proven track record in budget and project management.
- A minimum of four years of experience in the consumer packaged goods or pharmaceutical industry; previous cross-functional commercial experience is advantageous.
- Experience in Health Canada regulated industries, particularly in Beauty, Cosmetic, or Medical Aesthetics, is preferred.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
