The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Keethanow Group of Businesses is currently seeking applications for a Full-Time position:
FINANCE CLERK
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Organizing and maintaining the filing of all relevant documents (Purchase Orders, Vendor files, etc.).
- Preparing the general ledger and posting journal entries along with trial balances.
- Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and conducting bank reconciliations.
- Invoicing clients and addressing inquiries.
- Executing monthly accounts payable processing, reporting, and quality assurance tasks.
- Performing clerical duties, including maintaining filing and record systems.
- Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Upholding positive public relations on behalf of the Keethanow Group of Businesses.
- Adhering to the Keethanow Group of Businesses Personnel Policy Manual.
Qualifications:
- Completion of High School/Grade 12 or GED; a college diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is advantageous.
- 1-2 years of experience in the finance sector.
- Familiarity with accounting and reporting systems.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced skills in SAGE accounting software and spreadsheet applications are beneficial.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with other departments and key stakeholders.
- High proficiency in the Microsoft Office productivity suite.
- Knowledge and experience with office equipment such as photocopiers, telephone systems, email, and fax machines.
- Must be bondable.
- Punctual, honest, and reliable.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Efficient and effective time management skills.
- Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
