The Position

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the production efforts of foremen under your guidance, motivating them to achieve daily tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently. You will serve as a vital link between Project Management and onsite operations, ensuring that construction activities adhere to project specifications and drawings. Familiarity with Bronte's workplace technology for equipment maintenance, scheduling, and cost management is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize Safety, Quality, and Production
  • Organize Field Staff Requirements
  • Provide Guidance and Mentorship to Foremen and Field Staff
  • Manage Utilization of Assigned Equipment
  • Lead Planning Initiatives
  • Ensure Accountability for Meeting Project Milestones

A Typical Day

  • Oversee and direct construction projects in alignment with contract documents
  • Verify safety compliance across all labor forces, including subcontractors
  • Complete daily reports, including:
  • Daily Journals
  • Daily Invoice Trackers
  • Health and Safety Documentation
  • Maintain Accurate Records
  • Enforce project quality-control policies
  • Analyze project specifications and construction drawings
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to Bronte standards and contract specifications
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to plan and implement construction schedules
  • Represent Bronte in project meetings with stakeholders to support project progress
  • Review cost reports with Project Managers to identify solutions for budget discrepancies
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project representatives, both in writing and verbally

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Heavy Civil Supervisor
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A proven leader, motivated to ensure the success of assigned projects
