About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Raise. As a key member of our consulting engineering team, you will be responsible for investigating damage in civil/structural fields, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and providing structural recommendations in well-written reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate damage in civil/structural fields, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
  • Manage and work with multi-disciplinary teams on large and complex assignments.
  • Research failure modes and code requirements, and prepare necessary reporting and permit drawing generation.
  • Design and draft restoration and renovation work for damaged residential buildings, as well as design and drafting of new residential buildings.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and building owners to facilitate smooth project completion.
  • Provide structural recommendations in well-written reports.
  • Travel throughout Ontario and other locations as needed.
Requirements
  • University degree in civil/structural engineering and P.Eng. designation.
  • 3+ years of structural design experience, with a minimum of 3 years in wood frame construction.
  • Management and leadership experience is an asset.
  • Construction/site experience in wood frame construction is an asset.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and Part 9 of the OBC.
  • Possess and be able to maintain a valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License and access to a properly insured vehicle.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
