Role Overview

Away Resorts Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for leading by example and motivating a team of F&B assistants to provide exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by Example: Motivate and inspire a team of F&B assistants to deliver outstanding service to our guests.
  • Shift Management: Manage rotas to ensure the right level of cover at all times.
  • Best Practice Sharing: Identify and share best practices with the team, including effective upselling techniques.
  • Margin Control: Work with the FOH and kitchen teams to control food stock, minimize wastage, and manage cleaning and other costs sensibly.
  • Customer Service: Deal with customer complaints and manage performance within the team.
  • Team Development: Help build a motivated team of F&B assistants who take pride in delivering exceptional service, even in busy environments.

Requirements

  • Previous Experience: Proven experience in a fast-paced and busy F&B environment.
  • Revenue Growth: Experience of driving revenue growth, with training provided to support this goal.
  • Problem-Solving: A problem-solver who can manage difficult situations effectively.
  • Customer Service: A champion of delivering excellence in customer service, with evidence of previous successes.
  • Hygiene Certification: Preferably a level 2 hygiene certificate, but this can be provided through on-site training.
