Position Overview
We are seeking a Property Claims Field Specialist to enhance our dynamic team, focusing on delivering exceptional service in the province of New Brunswick.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in insurance products and appraisal techniques to ensure timely and fair evaluations of claims, adhering to our corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field assessments to determine property damage and restoration needs, engaging directly with insured parties, claimants, and service providers.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and propose adjustments to policies or procedures to ensure quality service and competitiveness.
- Maintain open communication with claims departments to facilitate efficient operations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow appraisers and adjusters as necessary.
- Build and sustain productive relationships with repair facilities and other service providers.
- Assist in evaluating vendor performance to ensure compliance with professional and corporate standards.
- Develop repair estimates and negotiate cost agreements with contractors or obtain quotes for restoration or replacement.
- Conduct total loss assessments and manage their resolution when applicable.
Qualifications:
- A university degree or a combination of relevant training and experience.
- A minimum of three years of experience in property claims.
- Proficient in Xactimate/XactAnalysis estimating software.
- Strong understanding of mitigation (IICRC), construction, and repair methodologies.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with experience in interviewing, coaching, and client interactions.
- Strong written communication skills for drafting claims reports.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset.
