About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Field Property Claims Specialist to join our team in supporting the province of New Brunswick. As a key member of our team, you will provide quality service and prompt valuations of claims in line with corporate policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field inspections to evaluate property damage, assess replacement or restoration requirements, and engage with insured, claimants, and service providers.
  • IDentify opportunities for process improvements and recommend changes to policies or procedures to maintain quality service and competitiveness.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with claims departments and coach other appraisers and adjusters as required.
  • Establish and maintain productive business relationships with repair facilities and other service providers.
  • Screen and review vendors' performance to meet professional and corporate standards.
  • Prepare repair estimates, obtain cost agreements from contractors or quotations, and facilitate disposal of total loss evaluations if applicable.
What You'll Bring
  • A university degree or relevant combination of training and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in property claims.
  • High-level knowledge of Xactimate/XactAnalysis estimating software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mitigation (IICRC), construction, and repair procedures.
  • Effective verbal communication skills, including interviewing, coaching others, and client interaction.
  • Strong written communications skills for drafting claims reports.
  • A valid driver's licence and good driving record.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
