About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Field Property Claims Specialist to join our team in New Brunswick. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for evaluating property damage and providing quality service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field inspections to assess property damage and evaluate replacement or restoration requirements.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend changes to policies or procedures to maintain quality service and competitiveness.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with claims departments and stakeholders.
  • Coach and train other appraisers and adjusters as needed.
  • Establish and maintain productive business relationships with repair facilities and service providers.
  • Assist in the screening and review of vendor performance to ensure compliance with professional and corporate standards.
  • Prepare repair estimates and obtain cost agreements from contractors or quotations on restoration or replacement.
  • Prepare total loss evaluations and facilitate their disposal, if applicable.
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in property claims.
  • High-level knowledge of Xactimate/XactAnalysis estimating software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mitigation, construction, and repair procedures.
  • Effective verbal communication skills, with experience in interviewing, coaching, and client interaction.
  • Good written communication skills to draft claims reports.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
