About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Essex Respite Care and Support Services. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Office Procedures and Routines: Determine and establish efficient office procedures and routines to ensure smooth operations.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner.
  • Information Management: Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Data Entry and Bookkeeping: Perform data entry tasks and assist with basic bookkeeping duties.
  • Supervision: Provide administrative support to a team of 3-4 people, ensuring their needs are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in an administrative role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
