Lead a High-Performing Team in a Dynamic Logistics Environment

Kuehne+Nagel, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, is seeking a dedicated Distribution Centre Manager to join our Contract Logistics team at our Brampton site. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring exceptional customer service by overseeing the efficient and safe operation of our distribution center.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and negotiation, driving satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Spearhead new business implementation projects, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to bids, tenders, and RFPs, guaranteeing accuracy in billing and invoicing processes.
  • Analyze monthly forecasts, identifying trends and implementing strategies to optimize performance and address any deviations from targets.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to your direct reports, fostering a culture of growth and development.
  • Set ambitious yet achievable goals for individual team members, the distribution center, and the broader division, driving continuous improvement.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives, succession planning, and internal promotions, creating a positive and rewarding work environment.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to ensure standardized, efficient, and best-in-class logistics operations across all levels.
  • Promote a culture of safety, implementing measures to protect the well-being of all employees.
  • Support the implementation of Kuehne+Nagel Production Systems (KNPS) certifications, striving for operational excellence.
  • Develop long-range labor requirements based on sales forecasts and input from your team.
  • Create space utilization plans that align with cost and service standards.
  • Participate in process-specific training programs and adhere to all relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Work alongside the Local Quality Manager to drive compliance with QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment) initiatives.
  • Ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements of Health Canada and other applicable authorities are met, upholding client expectations.
