Overview
We are looking for a passionate individual with a strong interest in trailers and the transportation sector to spearhead our Product Research & Development initiatives. Brandt Group of Companies designs and produces a diverse array of trailer solutions, from our Work Ready utility trailers tailored for commercial contractors and everyday users, to multi-axle heavy haul trailers utilized by industry experts in construction, forestry, oil & gas, and agriculture.

Key Responsibilities
Market and Competitive Analysis
  1. Identify leading competitors to gather insights on product specifications and options.
  2. Analyze competitors' value propositions and performance characteristics that contribute to their market dominance.
Engagement with Customers
  1. Engage directly with selected customers through individual or group discussions to gather expert insights into their current challenges and issues with existing products.
  2. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the commercial factors influencing product decisions, including purchasing triggers and value drivers.
  3. Gain insights into customer business practices and priorities across various production systems to validate product-market alignment.
Identifying Product Opportunities
  1. Ensure that products are innovative, competitively priced, feature-rich, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Brandt's Product Development Process, ensuring that customer value targets and functional requirements are met.
  3. Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on the progress of product development throughout the project lifecycle.
Product Knowledge Transfer
  1. Share product and market insights with Sales and Marketing teams to inform them about our customer base and how our products enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
  2. Communicate the unique value proposition and demonstrate the advantages of our products over competitive options.
  3. Emphasize features that are critical to customer success.
