About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Drivers Supervisor to join our team at Socla Trucking Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our truck drivers and ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Truck Drivers: Oversee the daily activities of our truck drivers, ensuring they are aware of their schedules, routes, and delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor Fleet Performance: Track the performance of our fleet, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Train and Develop Drivers: Provide training and development opportunities to our truck drivers, helping them to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Dispatch and Route Planning: Plan and dispatch routes for our truck drivers, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and to the highest standard.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as customer service and logistics, to ensure that our operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage Driver Performance: Monitor and manage the performance of our truck drivers, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Recruit and Support Newcomers: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who are looking to start a new career in the transportation industry.
  • Provide Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to newcomers and refugees, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their new role.
  • Facilitate Cultural Competency Training: Facilitate cultural competency training for all employees, ensuring that our workplace is welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Develop and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Provide Mentorship and Coaching: Provide mentorship and coaching to indigenous employees, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Facilitate Cultural Competency Training: Facilitate cultural competency training for all employees, ensuring that our workplace is welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
Support for Visible Minorities
  • Develop and Implement Hiring Policies: Develop and implement hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
  • Provide Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to members of visible minorities, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their new role.
  • Facilitate Cultural Competency Training: Facilitate cultural competency training for all employees, ensuring that our workplace is welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
