Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at NS Chauhan Trucking Ltd. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination and transporting goods over long distances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
    • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics and Operations
    • Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication and Safety
    • Operate GPS and other navigation equipment to ensure timely delivery of goods.
    • Perform emergency roadside repairs and ensure the safety and security of cargo.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Hold a valid Air Brakes Endorsement and a Class 1 or A Driver's License.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, cargo information, and hours of service.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required by the company.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience as a Truck Driver.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English.
Working Conditions

As a Truck Driver, you will be required to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will be away from home for extended periods and will be required to work in a fast-paced environment.
