About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Drivers Supervisor to join our team at Socla Trucking Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our truck drivers and ensuring the smooth execution of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Truck Drivers
    • Assign routes and schedules to drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods
    • Monitor driver performance and provide feedback to improve efficiency and safety
  • Manage Transportation Operations
    • Coordinate with dispatchers to ensure accurate and timely communication with drivers
    • Monitor and report on transportation metrics, such as on-time delivery rates and fuel efficiency
  • Support Newcomers and Refugees
    • Recruit and onboard new drivers, including those with foreign credentials
    • Provide mentorship and training to new drivers to ensure a smooth transition
  • Support Indigenous and Visible Minority Employees
    • Develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a welcoming work environment
    • Provide cultural competency training and awareness programs to promote understanding and respect
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities and organizations
    • Facilitate access to Elders and other support services for Indigenous employees
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Language
    • Fluent in English
