Role Overview:
We are seeking a Triage Security Analyst to join our mission of eradicating cyber threats. This position is integral to our Operations Center, where you will be responsible for evaluating incoming security data and communications. Your role will involve managing straightforward tasks and escalating issues to our Security Engineers when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your understanding of IT infrastructure and networking to effectively manage security incidents with guidance from Senior Security Personnel.
- Assess customer inquiries, implement playbook-driven solutions, and initiate potential incident investigations by collaborating with security engineers.
- Exhibit a keen attention to processes and a strong desire to learn, which are essential traits for success in this role.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, enabling you to interact effectively with diverse individuals and personalities.
- Familiarize yourself with Arctic Wolf's processes and systems to support Senior Security staff in addressing specific customer requests.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of runbooks that will aid in the knowledge expansion of your colleagues.
- Maintain a continuous drive to learn and explore new facets of the cybersecurity landscape.

Desired Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant industry experience or equivalent training; experience in Helpdesk, System Administration, Network Security, or Cybersecurity roles is advantageous.
- Basic technical knowledge in at least three of the following areas:
- Networking – familiarity with common protocols, server/client infrastructure, routers, switches, and WAPs.
- Perimeter Security – understanding of firewalls, IDS, IPS, UTM, WAF, Gateways, and Proxies.
- Authentication Mechanisms – knowledge of AD, SSO, MFA, etc.
- IaaS – experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- End Point Security – familiarity with MDM, EDR, EPP, AV solutions.
- SaaS – experience with collaboration tools like O365, GSuite, Box, Salesforce, or Workday.
- Participation in Capture The Flag (CTF) events, home labs, or platforms like TryHackMe (THM) or Hack The Box (HTB) is highly desirable.
- Strong writing, speaking, and customer service abilities.
- A commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
- A four-year degree in cybersecurity or a related technology field is preferred.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., GSEC, Security+, Network+, CCNA, CySA+, Pentest+, SSCP, ISC2 CC, GCP, AWS) are highly valued.
- Willingness to work in an office environment.
