About the Role

The Security Analyst is a critical member of our Operations Center team, supporting our security services globally. This role involves assessing inbound security data and communications, handling straightforward tasks, and escalating to our Security Engineers as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand IT infrastructure and networking to quickly dispatch security incidents with Senior Security Personnel guidance.
  • Triage customer requests, apply playbook-driven solutions, and initiate potential incident investigations through assignment to security engineers.
  • Assist engineers with web-based resources to determine event severity and take appropriate action.
  • Attention to process and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with diverse personalities and dispatching security and communication triage events effectively.
  • Understand Arctic Wolf's processes and systems to support Senior Security staff in handling customer requests.
  • Create and update runbooks to expand knowledge and aid peers.
  • Continuously learn new aspects of the security business.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of industry experience or equivalent training in Helpdesk, System Admin, Network Security, or Cybersecurity roles.
  • Basic technical understanding in three of the following areas: Networking, Perimeter, Authentication, IaaS, End Point, SaaS, or Participation in CTFs, home labs, or THM/HTB/Immersive Labs.
  • Demonstrable writing, speaking, and customer service skills.
  • A willingness to learn and continuous self-improvement.
  • A four-year degree in Cybersecurity or Technology is a plus.
  • Cybersecurity-related certifications are highly desirable.
  • Must be willing to work in an office environment.
