THE ROLE

The Project Delivery Specialist is a key figure responsible for the meticulous planning, execution, and successful completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within financial constraints, and meet all specified requirements. This role involves defining project parameters, gathering necessary resources, and overseeing the contributions of project team members. Critical responsibilities include ensuring the efficient delivery of project outputs, maintaining rigorous quality control, facilitating clear communication with stakeholders, and providing regular updates to senior management throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate effectively between various teams including site operations, detailing, production, and shipping across multiple projects.
  • Thoroughly review all contractual documents, scope of work, and the most recent drawings and amendments.
  • Analyze construction drawings against estimation drawings to identify any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the detailing department to develop and manage the shop drawing schedule as necessary.
  • Examine shop drawings and detail sheets to ensure they align with general compliance and construction sequencing needs.
  • Monitor contract modifications and ensure that any additional costs or credits are processed promptly.
  • Participate in job site meetings as required for the project.
  • Download and relay all relevant information from the detailing department to the fabrication team.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to uphold quality standards and adherence to schedules.
  • Assist in progress billing, substantial completion, and project closure activities.
  • Track the quality and progress of work performed by subcontractors.
  • Generate and distribute project Requests for Information (RFIs), clarifications, and address constructability issues.
  • Review field inspection reports from consultants throughout the project duration.
  • Prepare monthly project status reports for review and analysis.
  • Perform the above functions across multiple projects simultaneously.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educational background in architecture or engineering is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in project coordination or relevant labor experience.
  • Proven track record in successful project delivery and execution of coordination strategies.
  • Strong understanding of reinforcing steel, concrete structures, and construction practices.
