Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team at Brock Group. As an Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining insulation in various environments, including LNGC Kitimat.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain insulation in LNGC Kitimat, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and contractor specifications.
  • Select and apply the correct type and amount of insulation, considering factors such as temperature, humidity, and equipment usage.
  • Demonstrate high-quality workmanship in installing, fitting, and attaching insulation, finishing, and weatherproofing materials.
  • Remove or seal old asbestos insulation, and thoroughly describe insulation materials.
  • Sort and organize materials, and count and place orders for material as needed.
  • Complete safety paperwork, such as FLRA's and Start Cards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years' previous insulating experience.
  • Valid certification from an accredited apprenticeship board.
  • CSTS is a minimum safety requirement; other tickets may be required, such as OSSA Fall Protection, H2S Alive, Confined Space, and Standard First Aid.
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 0 to 60° C, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces for 4-7 hours per day, stand or walk for long periods, and climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding at extreme heights.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds often and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to see well (naturally or with correction) and distinguish colors, and hear well (naturally or with hearing aid).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and supervision.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
  • Ability to supply a negative Drug & Alcohol Pre-Access test.

Language and Rate of Pay

English is the primary language of communication. The rate of pay is $33.00-$58.66 per hour.
