Insulation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Insulation Specialist to join our team at Brock Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, fitting, and fabricating insulation materials to a high standard of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install insulation materials in accordance with contractor specifications and safety procedures.
• Select the appropriate insulation material and method of securing it based on the type and shape of surface, temperature, and equipment usage.
• Demonstrate high-quality workmanship in the installation, fitting, and fabrication of insulation materials.
• Remove or seal old asbestos insulation as required.
• Sort and organize materials, and count and place orders for materials as needed.
• Complete safety paperwork, including FLRA's and Start Cards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years' previous insulating experience.
• Valid certification from an accredited apprenticeship board.
• CSTS is a minimum safety requirement – other tickets that may be required are OSSA Fall Protection, H2S Alive, Confined Space, Standard First Aid.
• Ability to work in confined spaces for 4-7 hours per day, stand or walk for long periods, and climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding at extreme heights.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator for extended periods and lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds often and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
• Ability to supply a negative Drug & Alcohol Pre-Access test.
