What is the Opportunity?

The Insurance Risk Specialist is a key member of the Royal Bank of Canada's Wealth Management team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of insurance policies within the organization. This role requires a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Branch Audit

  • Prepare policy information for branch directors and teams prior to audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
  • Schedule calls with branch teams to review policy listings and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct thorough audits to identify any discrepancies or issues.
  • Provide recommendations for improvement and implement changes as necessary.

Policy Review

  • Conduct regular reviews of insurance policies to ensure suitability and compliance.
  • Work closely with estate planning specialists to ensure all necessary documentation is in place.
  • Collaborate with senior management to obtain approval for policy changes.

AOR Transfer in Policy Assessments

  • Generate reports on policies transferred into the agency, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify any discrepancies or issues.
  • Work closely with carriers and advisors to resolve any issues.

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a life and living benefits insurance role.
  • Post-secondary studies in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Life and Accident/Sickness Insurance License (LLQP).

Nice-to-Haves:

Bilingual French.
