The IT Audit Specialist is tasked with delivering independent and objective assurance and advisory services aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the Company's IT operations. This role is pivotal in assisting the organization in achieving its objectives through a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving technology risk management, control, and governance processes.
The IT Audit Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting Senior Management and the Audit and Risk Committee by identifying significant Technology risks and offering valuable recommendations to foster effective IT controls and sound business practices. This is accomplished through independent, risk-based assurance services that are designed to add value and enhance the organization's IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement an annual SOX plan related to internal controls over business and financial systems, applications, and infrastructure. Collaborate with IT governance to update process documentation and control descriptions. Review and revise IT audit test plans to ensure that critical risks are adequately addressed. Conduct testing of IT controls, including the preparation of working papers that outline test plans, fieldwork, and documentation of findings. Lead IT operational audits to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of processes aimed at mitigating key IT risks as outlined in the Internal Audit Plan, focusing on areas such as governance, risk management, infrastructure, security, asset management, cloud environments, and third-party risk. Ensure the quality of audit processes and documentation aligns with the IPPF standards.Qualifications:
Relevant post-secondary education. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT auditing. Completion of CISA certification. Additional professional certifications such as CIA, CISSP, or CISM are advantageous. Strong understanding of the IPPF and COBIT or similar frameworks. Familiarity with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.Employee Benefits:
