We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic and Millwright to join our team at First Hire inc. as a key member of our maintenance and repair team.
Work EnvironmentThe successful candidate will work in a fast-paced industrial setting, performing a variety of tasks including machinery installation, maintenance, and repair. The work environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and install mechanical equipment and stationary industrial machinery
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
- Repair or replace defective machinery parts
- Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
- Install and operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement
- Experience with conveyor systems, fans and blowers, gas compressors, heat exchangers, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, press brakes and metalworking equipment, pumps and compressors, tool grinders, and welding equipment
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
