About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Investment Analyst to join our team at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). As a key member of our Real Estate Investment Management team, you will play a critical role in evaluating and analyzing potential investments, developments, and dispositions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and analyze potential investments, developments, and dispositions using advanced financial modeling tools and techniques.
  • Assist in the due diligence process and preparation of investment reports and presentation materials.
  • Conduct detailed market research and analysis on existing and new sectors and markets.
  • Monitor and forecast portfolio performance and risk metrics to inform portfolio management decisions.
  • Support the team in various portfolio and asset management analysis, including underwriting owned assets, lease analysis, and disposition analysis.
  • Liaise with finance staff on issues related to financial accounting and reporting on real estate investments.
  • Attend real estate functions, conferences, and property tours to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the commercial real estate industry, with a focus on investment, development, or asset management.
  • Strong analytical skills and results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent Excel modeling capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce effective reports and a history of demonstrating HOOPP's values: Professional, Accountable, Collaborative, Compassionate, and Trustworthy.
