Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Real Estate Financing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team in achieving attractive returns on investments and ensuring the full growth potential of our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Due Diligence and Credit Committee Presentations: The Associate Director will play an active role in the due diligence process and contribute to the preparation of credit committee presentations.
  • Credit Application Process: The Associate Director will assist with the credit application process, write-up of internal memos, and drafting of commitment letters.
  • Transaction Management: The Associate Director will be responsible for preparing internal memorandums regarding transaction amendments, analyzing due diligence searches, and discussing results with the team.
  • Portfolio Management: The Associate Director will assist with ongoing portfolio management, including portfolio analysis, loan tracking, and liaising with project parties.
  • Data Analysis: The Associate Director will verify, analyze, and interpret data regarding new real estate financing opportunities to ensure that the Managing Director and the Senior Director are well informed.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: The Associate Director will coordinate transaction activities with other internal and external stakeholders of Fiera Real Estate Investments Limited.
  • Business Development: The Associate Director will assist in the research and development of business opportunities and attend prospect meetings.
  • Industry Knowledge: The Associate Director will maintain current knowledge of the real estate environment through ongoing research and participating in networking events.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Professional Designation: Professional designation (CFA, CPA, AACI, etc) is an asset.
  • Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in real estate.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, reasonable knowledge of loan structuring and documentation, ability to analyze market trends and relate them to the Fiera Real Estate business.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to operate in a fast-growing, results-oriented environment while meeting demanding deadlines, ability to learn quickly and be proactive, rigorous attention to detail, ability to manage many competing priorities, strong communication and interpersonal skills, works well in a team environment, able to multi-task, and ability to liaise with legal counsel or other external stakeholders in relation to due diligence and transaction documentation.
