Position Overview: We are actively seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our team in the heavy civil construction sector. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities available across Canada. Our organization is a recognized leader in heavy civil construction, specializing in earthworks, contract mining, and remediation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the interpretation of technical drawings and specifications for field teams and supervisory staff.
  • Exhibit strong safety leadership by ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist Project Managers in overseeing the complete project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring client satisfaction while adhering to safety, budget, schedule, and contractual obligations.
  • Manage remote project sites focused on civil and earthworks operations.
  • Contribute to the development of cost estimates and project budgets.
  • Maintain high standards of quality performance, procedures, and audit controls to meet business objectives.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve the efficiency and quality of site operations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role.
  • Experience in heavy civil earthworks projects is essential.
  • A post-secondary degree in Civil, Mining, or Construction Engineering is preferred.
  • Familiarity with earthworks and heavy machinery is advantageous.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Primavera, and SharePoint; experience with JD Edwards is a plus.
  • Willingness to work at remote sites on a rotational schedule.
  • Previous site experience in Northern Canada is considered an asset.
