Position Overview:

The Manager of Strategic Change will be an integral part of the People & Culture Team, reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Change. This role is essential in facilitating and implementing strategies that enhance the talent experience at WSP while aligning with organizational priorities. Collaboration with the Chief People Officer, the broader People & Culture team, and various business units will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Strategic Change Team and the People & Culture Leadership team in executing strategic initiatives and managing programs effectively.
  • Lead change initiatives that support significant organizational projects, including M&A integration and transformational efforts.
  • Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives from conception to successful execution, guided by the People & Culture Leadership Team.
  • Engage with executives to facilitate decision-making, program management, and the rollout of initiatives.
  • Analyze engagement metrics and KPIs to derive actionable insights.
  • Act as a communication bridge between staff and senior leadership regarding company culture, employee welfare, project developments, and strategic planning.
  • Foster relationships with employees across all levels to enhance operational efficiency and responsiveness, while collaborating with the People & Culture Leadership Team on special projects.
  • Support WSP's change management framework through proactive preparation, thematic analysis, and agenda setting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and coordinate organizational procedures to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strategic insight with the ability to provide tactical recommendations based on thorough situational analysis.
  • Proven capability to lead through influence rather than direct authority.
  • Hands-on experience in executing strategies with a proactive approach.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to connect various stakeholders effectively.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills with a forward-thinking perspective.
  • In-depth understanding of change management principles with practical application experience.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities utilizing various tools, including Excel.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, particularly in executive settings.
  • Proficient in storyboarding and articulating ideas clearly using a combination of data and qualitative insights, with advanced PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to comprehend underlying messages.
  • Skilled in managing and prioritizing multiple strategic initiatives and client relationships in dynamic environments, with a keen sense of urgency.
  • A degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
  • 6-8 years of experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives is essential.
  • 6-8 years of experience in managing large-scale transformational change within a professional services context is necessary.
  • Experience in project or program management at a national or global scale is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is advantageous.
