We are currently seeking a dedicated Clinical Care Leadership Coordinator to be a vital part of our Nursing Care leadership team at Joseph Creek Village. This role is essential in supporting the recruitment and integration of a new team of clinical professionals. If you are a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with prior leadership experience, exceptional interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding care for seniors, we would love to connect with you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reports directly to the Director of Clinical Care, overseeing the nursing team with established lines of authority and communication.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Care and Community Manager in the processes of interviewing, hiring, and evaluating performance.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
  • Aids the team in developing and executing comprehensive care plans tailored to the residents' individual needs.
  • Ensures that care practices comply with legislative standards and align with the mission and philosophy of Golden Life Management.
  • Facilitates the implementation of the RAI MDS program, including the evaluation of outcomes and monitoring of performance metrics.
  • Engages with educational institutions for the placement of practicum students.
  • Builds and maintains productive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Addresses family and client concerns following the Positive Solutions process.
  • Co-leads departmental meetings to foster collaboration.
  • Coordinates and oversees operational activities within the department.
  • Participates in strategic planning and accreditation initiatives.
  • Works alongside the Director of Clinical Care and the Quality & Clinical Practice Consultant to identify and address educational needs, including policy and procedure reviews.
  • Provides on-call support as necessary (telephone consultation).
  • Holds current registration with BCCNM as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Possesses a minimum of five (5) years of management experience, including supervision of a multidisciplinary team, budget oversight, and quality management processes.
  • Has previous experience in long-term care settings.
  • Demonstrates strong multitasking abilities, effective time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Exhibits a robust capacity to plan, direct, evaluate, and manage the delivery of diverse care services within a social model framework.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
  • Can provide a Negative TB Screening and Immunization Records.
  • Successfully passes a vulnerable sector criminal record check.
