Position Overview

The Healthcare Support Specialist role is an entry-level opportunity that requires no prior medical experience. It is perfect for individuals keen on exploring the healthcare field and seeking relevant experience. Key Responsibilities

Healthcare Support Specialists are thoroughly trained and accountable for the following tasks:
- Accurate patient registration and administrative duties (reception, scheduling, payment collection, etc.).
- Clinical preparation of patients (escorting patients to exam rooms and conducting triage).
- Proper application of clinical skills and protocols.
- Effective use of our Electronic Medical Record system (EMR Advantage).
- Maintain consistent inventory levels through daily stocking of exam rooms and clinic areas.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of exam rooms, waiting areas, and restrooms.
- Follow proper opening and closing procedures for the clinic.
- Manage documentation and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Opportunity to receive training in specialized programs (Travel Medicine, Allergy Testing, Foot Care, Wellbaby) after successful completion of a three-month probationary period.
- Additional duties as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 1-2 years of post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- An undergraduate or bachelor's degree in health sciences, kinesiology, general science, or arts is advantageous.
- Six months to one year of experience in a customer service role (retail or hospitality).
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken, written, reading, and comprehension); proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Committed, dependable, and adaptable regarding shift scheduling (days, evenings, and weekends).
- Willingness to work at various clinic locations within the region.
- Enthusiastic about personal learning, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Must have permanent eligibility to work in Canada (Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen) or possess a valid Work Permit beyond the probationary period (no sponsorships).
