Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in food service management.
- Develop and implement effective methods to achieve work schedules.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff engaged in food preparation and portioning.
- Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
- Prepare financial budgets and cost estimates for operations.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
- Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
The Culinary Operations Supervisor is also encouraged to participate in community initiatives that support:
- Newcomers and Refugees: Engage in programs that assist newcomers and refugees.
- Youth Employment: Contribute to initiatives aimed at supporting youth employment.
- Veterans: Participate in programs that provide support to veterans.
- Indigenous Peoples: Involvement in initiatives that assist Indigenous communities.
- Visible Minorities: Support programs that aid members of visible minority groups.
This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
