Job Title: Project Coordinator

Company: University of Waterloo

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the coordination and operation of research projects at the University of Waterloo. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Principal Investigators to oversee various research projects and activities, ensuring that deliverables and milestones are met according to project goals. This position requires a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support research teams in meeting project goals and objectives
  • Assist in preparing research proposals and reports, including data analysis and visualization
  • Manage relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including government agencies and industry organizations
  • Coordinate outreach events and activities, such as conferences and workshops
  • Procure research supplies and equipment as needed
  • Provide technical support for research projects, including data management and quality control

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Environmental Sciences or a related field, such as Ecology or Hydrology
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in project coordination or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software, including data analysis and visualization tools
