We're seeking a talented Project Coordinator to join our Food and Beverage team in Waterloo, Ontario.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop an understanding of the latest technologies and techniques in the Food, Beverage, and Industrial sectors.
As a Project Coordinator, you'll have the chance to:
- Collaborate with our Business Groups and Service Lines to deliver GHD services to food processing and agribusiness clients
- Build strong partnerships with our globally integrated teams of Project Managers, Engineers, Scientists, and others to identify, design, and achieve innovative solutions
- Assist Project Managers with project delivery, monitoring project finances, and deliverable development
- Develop project scope and oversee project execution to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks
- Develop client relationships to manage a portfolio of projects, working alongside clients to identify valuable service offerings that GHD can provide
- Assist with proposal development, including the preparation of project scope and budget
- Communicate with equipment suppliers and vendors on behalf of the client, assisting and participating in equipment qualification and validation activities
- Work alongside GHD Advisory to develop business case scenarios and project vision documentation for Food and Agribusiness clients
- Assist clients with technical due diligence, digital solutions, data analytics, and virtual dashboards
- Implement Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives to assist clients with sustainability and societal impact
- Perform contractor oversight, data collection, testing, sampling, and document field observations
- Provide construction oversight, including construction contract administration
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 0-3 years of industrial project participation in operations or engineering
- Specialization in food or beverage processing preferred
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical, Management, Process, Chemical Engineering, Science, or equivalent education
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to build and maintain exceptional client relationships
- Strong analytical skills with sound technical judgment
- Proven high ethical standards with a dedication to producing high-quality work
- Self-motivated, flexible, and a great teammate, willing to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal direction
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed
