Immunization Requirement:

The Opportunity:
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities related to patient admissions, discharges, and transfers. Your responsibilities will include reception duties, clerical tasks, and requisitioning supplies and services from various departments.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated alignment with CGMH's core values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, Adaptability, Teamwork
- Completion of a two-year Medical Office Administration Diploma or equivalent
- Certification in Medical Terminology
- Minimum one year of clerical and data entry experience
- Preference for candidates with emergency department experience
- Familiarity with Meditech systems is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong keyboarding and data entry skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing job duties
- Commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to create a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, and volunteers
- Adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal; additional language skills are a plus
- Basic computer literacy
- Dedication to professional development
- Capability to perform essential physical tasks related to patient care

- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with the healthcare team
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter orders using the Meditech Expanse system as necessary
- Manage telephone communications related to patient care coordination
- Schedule patient transport with transportation services
- Organize and maintain patient charts and care documents
- Ensure clear communication with the patient care team
- Perform clerical tasks essential to the daily operations of the Emergency Department
- Undertake additional clerical duties as required
