POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting directly to the Director of Credit, the Senior Credit Risk Analyst leverages extensive expertise in global business credit risk to support our Accounts Receivable (AR) function. This role is pivotal in ensuring optimal credit risk performance, enhancing cash collection, and minimizing bad debt. The ideal candidate will exhibit a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences, adept change management, and collaborative skills to ensure that key stakeholders comprehend and endorse our policies, processes, and decisions. Integration is integral to our operations, and you will bring a best practice mindset to continuously pursue flawless execution in every integration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist in the formulation and implementation of credit risk strategies and solutions, including researching leading automation practices for credit approval processes;
  2. Collaborate with leadership and AR colleagues to maintain and enhance credit granting and collection practices to optimize cash flow and reduce bad debt;
  3. Partner with Sales and other stakeholders to effectively manage our credit approval cycle time and service level agreements (SLAs);
  4. Support the approval process for payment term requests as necessary;
  5. Facilitate discussions with Sales, key stakeholders, and external clients regarding credit requests that are not approved, providing alternative credit limit recommendations that align with revenue goals while safeguarding our AR assets;
  6. Utilize established account monitoring systems and tools to assess a customer's financial standing, including the analysis of financial statements, ensuring that any significant changes in the customer's financial condition are promptly identified and addressed to mitigate bad debt risk;
  7. Assist leadership in Acquisition Integration initiatives;
  8. Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to refine our credit risk and approval strategies to foster revenue growth;
  9. Support leadership in various projects and initiatives aimed at delivering best-in-class processes and practices for the Credit Risk function.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance from an accredited institution
  • CPP Designation
  • Completion or enrollment in a CCP or Accounting Designation program is advantageous

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of commercial credit experience, ideally within a global software services or high-tech environment
  • Proven track record of influencing change in Credit Risk understanding
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in interactions with Sales and external clients
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, with demonstrated success in evaluating company financial statements to establish Credit Risk parameters
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a history of managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and Salesforce
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
  • A collaborative team player, recognizing the value of teamwork in problem-solving
  • Demonstrated capacity to foster a culture of learning among peers and support resilience in a dynamic environment
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
