About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our Sales team as a Regional Vice President (Wholesaler) based in Vancouver. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with our clients, identifying, selling, and cross-selling opportunities, and measuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish and Maintain Relationships with AGF's distribution network to drive revenue opportunities.
  2. Service and Grow Client Assets by reaching out to and servicing core advisors who hold assets with AGF.
  3. Develop Account and Business Plans for each advisor, outlining critical success factors that result in additional sales and a positive customer experience.
  4. Monitor and Analyze Advisor Fund Flows to identify trends and provide suggestions to advisors to retain assets.
  5. Provide Product and Sales Support to cultivate relationships and drive sales, achieving or exceeding activity targets and sales goals.
  6. Identify and Implement New Sales Ideas and concepts, profiling advisors, uncovering needs, and determining cross-sell opportunities.
  7. Maintain Top Levels of Activity and Sales Results and develop/sustain strong relationships with financial advisors.
  8. Support Dealers and Brokers on market and fund performance, portfolio profiles, value-added programs, products, and corporate updates.
  9. Stay Current with Market Changes and incorporate knowledge into conversations with advisors, staying ahead of the competition.
  10. Create and Deliver Effective Sales Presentations and conference calls to promote AGF products.
  11. Manage Yearly Budget to achieve yearly objectives.
  12. Maintain Timely and Accurate Records of all advisor activity.
Requirements
  1. University Degree or equivalent work experience.
  2. Solid Knowledge of the Investment Industry and a minimum of 5 years of Wholesaler experience or industry equivalent.
  3. Established IIROC Advisor Relationships in the Vancouver, Lower Mainland, and/or BC Okanagan regions.
  4. Strong Capital Markets Knowledge, particularly of the stock and bond markets and how they relate to mutual funds, ETFs, and Alternatives.
  5. Knowledge of Advanced Investment Products preferred.
  6. Proven Sales Ability with effective customer relationship building skills.
  7. Team Player and Self-Starter, highly motivated, and results-driven.
  8. Demonstrates a High Level of Independence and Creativity.
  9. Strong Organizational and Follow-Up Abilities.
  10. Exceptional Written and Oral Communication Skills, effective listening skills, and excellent presentation skills.
  11. Ability to Thrive in a Fast-Paced Challenging Environment.
  12. Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and Salesforce.
  13. Advanced Certification, CFA, MBA, CFP, or CIM preferred.
