Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to fill the role of Vice President of Regional Sales. This position requires a motivated and articulate professional who is eager to enhance client satisfaction and foster strong business relationships. The Vice President will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring a high level of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust relationships with AGF's distribution network to maximize revenue potential.
  • Engage with core advisors to manage and grow assets while attracting new clients.
  • Create tailored account and business plans for advisors, focusing on their success factors to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
  • Analyze advisor fund flows to identify trends and provide strategic insights for asset retention.
  • Deliver exceptional product and sales support to strengthen relationships and achieve sales targets.
  • Innovate and implement new sales strategies, identifying client needs and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain high levels of activity and performance while building lasting relationships with financial advisors.
  • Support dealers and brokers with market insights, fund performance, and corporate updates.
  • Stay informed about market changes and competitive dynamics to effectively communicate AGF's advantages.
  • Prepare and present compelling sales presentations and conference calls to promote AGF's offerings.
  • Manage the annual budget to meet organizational objectives.
  • Keep accurate records of advisor interactions and activities.
  • Be prepared for occasional presentations during weekends and evenings, as well as travel as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of wholesaler experience or equivalent in the investment industry.
  • Established relationships with IIROC advisors in relevant regions.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, particularly regarding mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investments.
  • Proven sales skills with a focus on building effective customer relationships.
  • A self-starter with a results-driven mindset and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with effective listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce is essential.
  • Advanced certifications such as CFA, MBA, CFP, or CIM are preferred.

Compensation:

The compensation package for this role includes a competitive base salary, along with variable compensation, benefits, and retirement savings plans.
