Position Overview:
The Electrician Service Technician will operate within occupied facilities for our clients, performing a variety of Building Automation System (BAS) maintenance tasks, programming adjustments, graphic modifications, potential HVAC equipment startups, and troubleshooting and commissioning of BAS systems with minimal supervision. This role requires flexibility for overtime work as necessary (on-call).
Core Responsibilities:
- Comprehending mechanical, electrical, and control systems within buildings and standard BAS controls.
- Communicating effectively and promptly.
- Ensuring client satisfaction.
- Providing training for operators and owners.
- Professionally resolving conflicts.
- Executing system startups and establishing network connections.
- Conducting point-to-point testing of equipment and systems.
- Maintaining documentation and records.
- Coordinating with clients and dispatch teams.
- Adhering to schedules and safety regulations.
- Utilizing hand tools and testing instruments.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Red Seal Electrical Journeyperson with a minimum of 1 year of experience and computer proficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Familiarity with Wireshark and network captures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Resourceful problem-solver capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Clear criminal record for specific work environments.
- Willingness to work after hours and participate in on-call rotations.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of programming and network topology.
- Detail-oriented team player with the ability to work independently.
