About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water and Wastewater Engineer to join our team at Urban Systems Ltd. in Western Canada. As a key member of our engineering practice, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing water and wastewater infrastructure projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop water and wastewater infrastructure systems, including lift stations, pumping stations, reservoirs, and pipelines.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and analyses to ensure the safe and efficient operation of water and wastewater systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Water and Wastewater Engineer with a strong background in civil, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering. You should have a keen interest in pursuing a career working on water and wastewater projects in Western Canada and be registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGA or an equivalent provincial or territorial association.

  • 4-7 years of direct industry work experience.
  • Experience with water and sanitary system modeling and analysis using WaterCAD and PCSWMM.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.
