About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Environmental Market in Ontario, Canada. As a Regional Market Leader, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our environment business, ensuring a focus on creating medium- and long-term opportunities to enable GHD's strong growth aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for the Environment Market across Ontario, in collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Environment Market Leader team across Canada to develop a national strategy approach.
  • Assess market trends and strategize towards future projects, programs, and differentiated solutions.
  • Identify areas of practice within the Region that require enhancement to meet present or future opportunities.
  • Increase business by improving and strengthening new and existing client relationships.
  • Drive continued integration of Digital and Advisory into the Environment Market offerings.
  • Support effective delivery, including serving as a Project Director on appropriate projects/programs.
  • Collaborate with other Market Leaders to position and win multidisciplinary projects within the Region.
  • Represent and promote GHD at industry events and conferences.
Performance Metrics
  • Sustainable and profitable growth of the Ontario Environment Market revenue and backlog.
  • Growth and diversification of Environment Market core business, integrated technical solutions, and emerging high value propositions.
  • Develop a strong pipeline through promotion and utilization of business tools.
  • Manage and mitigate risks within the Ontario Environment Market.
  • Assist and lead major projects to ensure delivery outcomes for the Ontario Environment Market.
  • Improve tender/proposal success rates.
  • Effective management of designated budgets.
Requirements
  • Professional Engineer, Professional Geoscientist, Professional Biologist, Environmental Planner or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience leading an environmental business and demonstrated market growth.
  • Experience with corporate strategic planning initiatives and a demonstrated ability to develop and operationalize successful strategies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the overall Environmental Market in Ontario and more broadly across Canada.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in the areas of personnel management, decision making, change management, employee development, performance management, and team building skills.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial skills, including exceptional client experience skills.
  • Agile self-starter with a proactive, strategic, and creative approach.
