Role Purpose
Accountable for aiding in the execution of the operational risk framework tools, providing business support and oversight (as delegated by Management) for Global Transaction Services (GTS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver ongoing Internal Control support to Global Transaction Services (GTS) with appropriate oversight of operational risk;
  • Collaborate with and facilitate the New Initiative Risk Assessment (NIRA) process alongside GTS business lines, technology teams, and control and support units to ensure risks are evaluated effectively throughout the NIRA stages;
  • Assist in the execution of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program to identify, evaluate, and document risks;
  • Coordinate with Compliance partners to plan and implement the GTS Compliance Risk and Control Assessment (CRCA);
  • Support Canadian Banking Compliance partners in regulatory reporting and provide updates on GTS compliance matters to regulators;
  • Work with business line partners (Compliance, Global Operational Risk, Technology, etc.) to report non-financial risks to the GTS Core Risk Committee;
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Key Risk Indicators and metrics for effective management of non-financial risks for GTS;
  • Monitor and report on the status of contracts within the scope of Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), guiding business units on contract completion and updates;
  • Track and oversee Issue Management and related action plans;
  • Help prepare for regulatory and audit inquiries by gathering information, challenging, and providing responses;
  • Contribute to the development and communication of processes to support policy and procedure implementation, modifications, and variations;
  • Collaborate with relevant product owners to review the Enterprise List of Products (New, Rebranded, Stop Sold) and report findings to Data Governance quarterly;
  • Provide updates on the GTS Risk Management Dashboard concerning NIRA, Audit, Operational Risk Events, and ongoing Issues Management;
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for enhancing controls and process efficiencies;
  • Assist Management with ad-hoc requests and special projects.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education or a minimum of 2 years of experience in banking or finance;
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls;

Work Environment:

  • Standard office conditions;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Some travel between sites may be required.
