Position Overview

The Business Analyst specializing in ERP will collaborate across various departments, including Commercial, Supply Chain Management, Program Delivery, and Finance. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives related to OSI's Epicor ERP software platform. The ideal candidate will excel in system optimization, process enhancement, project management, inventory oversight, and data analysis. Key responsibilities include interpreting stakeholder needs, refining ERP workflows, standardizing system usage, and developing training programs for users.

Key Responsibilities

Planning

  • Conduct thorough research on ERP implementation challenges, identify root causes, and devise practical solutions.
  • Utilize project management tools to create detailed task schedules and monitor progress.
  • Adjust project efforts as necessary to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.

System Administration and Analytics

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all ERP system modules.
  • Analyze and consolidate the business's ERP requirements and assess system functionality.
  • Propose enhancements to optimize ERP utilization and collaborate with IT to implement changes.
  • Design and implement custom workflows and dashboards to fulfill business needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ERP modules.
  • Develop user-friendly functionalities and interfaces.
  • Stay informed about the latest ERP releases and functionalities.
  • Extract and analyze data to summarize trends and identify areas of concern.
  • Present complex data in an understandable format for management.
  • Utilize Excel and PowerBI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, inventory, and billing.
  • Transform data insights into actionable narratives.

Governance

  • Convert strategic objectives into governance and process documentation.
  • Analyze inputs from various sources and standardize documentation.
  • Create detailed process maps and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training on system upgrades and new processes.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and experience in systems administration and business analytics.
  • ERP certification, particularly in Epicor, is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP development tools and business processes.
  • Strong understanding of system administration and best practices in business analytics.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, especially Epicor, and Excel.
  • Ability to analyze and report on large datasets effectively.
  • Experience in critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Capability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
